Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach all subjects to a self contained classroom full of high energy and highly creative 4th graders in a high need community.

Students in my class love independent projects in all subject areas. I have students who are artistic, students who love science and math, and some who love social studies. These kids need motivation and they need a variety of projects to keep their passion of learning alive.

This project will allow students choice in the learning topic of their choice between reading, science, math, and social studies. The supplies in this project will allow students to create puppets that visually describe characters in a story. Students will make newspapers, magazine pages,or their own book with the writing station supplied in this project. For science kids can explore science equipment such as life science slides or complete an project of their choice using the social studies materials. This collection of small learning centers will benefit my students because they will be in charge of their own discovery in their favorite subject area.

You will make it possible for my students to soar to new heights and learn about subjects they hold dear to their hearts. Your donation truly makes a difference in their lives and in our classroom community.
