My Project
One of my primary objectives for my students is the creation of a ceramics program so they can experience sculpting and other three dimensional techniques. The school currently doesn't have a kiln, so in order to get this new additional program started, we need to find a way to purchase one. In my opinion, a school art program isn't complete without the students being able to work in three dimensions. In my twenty five years of teaching at my former school, we created thousands of high quality pieces that won competitions all across the state. I was hired this past year to grow the art program like I did at y previous HS, but it's a struggle with the current state of school financing in our state. We desperately need your financial help to jump start ceramics!
