My Students

My wonderful first-grade classroom is packed full of 6 - 7 year old superheroes! Many of these students have diverse needs and backgrounds. Many of the students qualify for the free or reduced-price lunch program.

Some people say that Disneyland is the "Happiest Place on Earth", but I say, "First Grade is the Happiest Place on Earth!" My students are bright, cheerful, and eager to learn.

My favorite part of teaching is creating a classroom that becomes our "Happy Place" where we love learning together.

My Project

Many of my students have struggled over the last two school years due to excessive absences directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a teacher, I have had to be focused and creative to help fill their gaps in learning, especially when it comes to reading instruction.

This wonderful leveled reading library along with the phonics skills activities will help me fill my students' gaps in reading.

It will provide them with an extra resource in the classroom to practice their reading skills. The books are just what we need to help us continue to grow and progress!
