My Project
The Sunshine Club is a weekly incentive program where 1–3 students from each class are recognized for excellence in areas like reading growth, character, and effort. On Fridays, a Sunshine Cart filled with special snacks is rolled around to celebrate these students. This grant will help stock the cart with meaningful rewards that motivate learners to do their best. By celebrating academic and personal growth, students learn that hard work, kindness, and perseverance are valued—and that learning can lead to joyful, well-earned recognition.
Our school is a Title I school where most students receive free or reduced lunch, and many face challenges that impact their learning.
With test scores well below grade level, it’s more important than ever to build student confidence, motivation, and a love for learning. The Sunshine Cart offers a simple but powerful way to show students that their effort matters. With your help, we can create moments of pride and encouragement that ripple into greater academic success and stronger student engagement.
