Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Help me give my first graders a frosty celebration to mark the end of a year filled with growth, challenges, and success. We plan to host a Snowcone and Cotton Candy Day, using a new snowcone machine to create icy treats that symbolize the cool achievements of our young learners.

Throughout the year, my students have worked tirelessly, navigating new concepts and building a community of support and kindness within our classroom walls.

To honor their perseverance and joy for learning, I envision a day of sweet, fluffy cotton candy and refreshing snowcones that they can savor with friends. It's not just about the treats; it's a sensory experience that will reinforce their positive associations with school and learning.

Your support will fund a snowcone machine, various flavorful syrups, and all the fixings for cotton candy. This day will not only serve as a celebration but also as an opportunity for practical learning, from the science of changing states of water to measuring syrup and counting out supplies.

As the year winds down, let's give these incredible first graders a memorable day that applauds their hard work and sets a joyful tone for their continued educational journey.
