My Project
The Sun Rays classroom is a Multiple Disabilities elementary school classroom. There are 7 students with diagnoses of Autism, Specific Learning Disability, and Cognitive Impairment. They all have different learning and sensory needs. With the Super Z Outlet Liquid Motion Bubbler and the Marble Maze Mat Sensory Fidget Stress Relief Toys my students will have some of the tools they need to help regulate their emotions in different classroom settings and situations.
In our self contained setting we do all subject areas in our classroom - math and reading as well as art, science.
and social studies! We go through supplies very quickly throughout the year and an abundant stock of Washable Bingo Paint Daubers Markers,
Crayola Kid's Markers, Crayola Crayons, and Washable Removable Glue Sticks will help ensure we don't end our year with only white crayons and gray markers!
We also do our indoor free play and recesses frequently as we live in the Midwest where we have long winters and the rest of the year we can have 4 seasons in a day which can impede our ability to play outdoors. To make indoor free play more enjoyable I have added Play-Doh Bulk Pack and STEM Magnet Toys to our list.
Our room is the same as most elementary classrooms in several ways - we make messes, have runny noises, scrape our knees and elbows, and rip our supplies from time to time. Kleenex Ultra Soft Facial Tissue, Band-Aid Brand Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages, Thermal Laminating Pouches, Reusable Write & Wipe Pocket, and Baby Wipes will make these instances easier.
The Sun Rays classroom is incredible. The students work so hard and deserve all the same toys and supplies as anyone else.
