My students need pencils, erasers, crayons, markers, whiteboard markers and a class pencil sharpener to make this a successful year.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the feeling of brand new crayons and pencils with a sharp point, pointy markers, and rubbery pink erasers? With your help, my students can experience this feeling.
Most of my students come from lower income families.
I have a class of 24 students, many of whom qualify for free or reduced lunch. They do not come to school the first day with loaded backpacks of school supplies. They do not get a chance to go "Back to School shopping." They also do not have supplies at home. Whatever they need to complete their work comes from school.
My Project
With the current budget cuts to schools, it is up to the teachers to come up with money for "extra supplies" for the class or do without. I am asking for a class set of crayons and markers. These will help with making worksheets and art projects fun to complete. Currently, I have faded markers and broken crayons. I am also asking for pencils, erasers and a pencil sharpener. Each student uses 1-2 pencils per week. With a pencil sharpener and many pencils, I can always keep a fresh set sharpened. I have a class set of whiteboards, but the markers are precious. The kids love doing math problems or practicing phonics skills, but without markers the boards are useless.
Thank you so much in advance.
These supplies would make going back to school a fun adventure instead of a dreaded one. Since most of these students don't get a chance to go "Back to School" shopping, they would all still benefit from brand new supplies.
