Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a great group of students in a large urban high poverty district. As you can imagine, the district budget is tight, and we are often unable to get needed supplies.

All of my children are ready to learn, and they deserve better than what can be provided.

My 61 children are special to me as they have reinvigorated me in my teaching career. They love coming to my class, and I get excited seeing them each and every day.

My Project

I would like to attend the Pathfinders Summer Institute this summer in Indiana. I look forward to gaining powerful ideas from the 800 plus US K-12 public school teachers that will attend this summer. This project will cover all tuition, airfare, room, and board for the week.

Many of the jobs in the future will involve technology and I want my students to gain an advantage.

At this Institute, I will gain an immense amount of ideas and skills and come back ready for a new challenge and ready to share my ideas with my colleagues. I will implement the things I learn in my classroom. This institute will be a great benefit to me, my school, and especially my students.
