Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The children in my pre-k classroom are so enthusiastic and eager to learn. Every day is a new adventure with these young friends. They are so energetic and lively which helps me remember why I first fell in love with early childhood education. The children come from very diverse backgrounds. We strive to give each child what they need to feel, firstly, loved and secure. This then allows them to grow from wonderful, loving children to inquisitive, eager students, ready to take on the world!

My Project

This school year has proven to be challenging and unlike any before. We would like to give our students a fun gift to celebrate all of their hard work during the year. The gifts we would like to give the children will allow them to keep their skills sharp over the summer while also having a little fun.

Each child will receive a brand new backpack filled with fun items.

First, they will receive a Summer Bridge workbook full of activities for transitioning into the next school year. They will also get a fun picture book, watercolor paints, and bubbles for some summer enjoyment.
