My Project
My students are excited for science and science experiments. We are out of Maker Space materials to do experiments, for those that are coming to summer school. We always do a genius hour during summer school and having the materials ready to go at the start of summer school helps us get started with projects right away and it benefits students by giving them extra time to do the steps of the Engineering Design Process. The steps are to test, improve, and turn in a final project. The items on this list will help us to refill the Marker's Space bins that we use for our projects. Of course, the items that are left over will be utilized for the upcoming school year. The main goal is for students to understand that the Engineering Design Process is a part of most everything that we use in our day-to-day life. This gives students an insight on how the final product of these items such as clothes, stuffed animals, hair products, shoes, etc., came to be the times that they themselves use everyday. There are also some incentive items on this list to help keep students motivated and coming back everyday.
