We use these resources daily during our independent reading time. Previously, students often sat stiffly at their desks or sprawled uncomfortably on the hard floor. Now, they rush to claim a spot on the soft, plush rug or sink into a supportive bean bag chair. The pillows are perfect for propping up a book or resting a head while getting lost in a story. Just yesterday, I observed two students who usually struggle to sit still during reading curled up side-by-side in bean bags, quietly sharing a graphic novel. This comfortable environment has not only increased reading stamina but has also subtly fostered a sense of community and shared love for books. It has truly elevated reading from a task to a treasured, relaxing activity.\r\nWhen we recieved the materials in the classroom, the reaction was pure magic—it felt like a holiday morning in our classroom! When I unboxed the rug and set out the beanbags, there were audible gasps and a few squeals of delight. They were immediately asking, \"Who gets to sit there first?\" seeing the joy on their faces as they realized strangers wanted them to have a beautiful space to learn was incredibly moving.","fullyFundedDate":1758841867959,"projectUrl":"project/a-classroom-reading-corner-promotes-a-lo/9615977/","projectTitle":"A Classroom Reading Corner Promotes a Love for Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5079327_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763918178365","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5079327"},{"teacherId":7639127,"projectId":9560823,"letterContent":"Thank you all so much for your donations which helped to fund this project. We went through safety procedures and then everyone was ready to get a turn cutting out shapes for their projects. Students who had previously been reluctant to contribute ideas in the brainstorming phase suddenly had ideas they wanted to share, and ways they wanted to cut the cardboard.
