Summer Sandlot: The CRES Say Hey Kids

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students need to be stored into bins. In other words, I have a lot of different types of balls that need to be organized onto our baseball field at different times throughout the day. We just need your help in getting our equipment on the field.

The rubber tees will be used in small hitting stations in the corner of our field when it is their turn to practice swinging.

By implementing these hitting stations my students will begin to feel more confidence on the field when it is their turn to hit.

The 3 dozen buckets of real baseballs, eyeblack patches, whiffle balls, whiffle ball bats, tennis balls, soft compression balls, SKILZ reaction training fielding balls will all give me a great way to help all different kinds of levels with my fielding, throwing, and hitting stations. Different types of balls will be used so my students can throw, catch, and field without the fear of getting hurt. The real baseballs are for the higher leveled players who have that confidence in throwing, catching and fielding already.

The stations will run smoothly each day. They will rotate through the stations, and then enter their relaxed Sandlot game for the day. These stations will also be assisted by other volunteer coaches

By implementing these stations, my students will begin to love playing the game. We will used these materials to assist our program to help improve our students overall physical health, and overall wellbeing and working together. As the teacher/coach, I've done a lot of planning and research about how to restore the love of the game for early developing students. I truly need support to make this a real reality for my students and community. Thank-you and God bless.
