Summer Reading

My Students

With the recent closure of school it has been challenging for my students to get into the new normal. We recently started a new book at school but with a sudden shut down we were unable to finish the book. I am hoping to be able to get a copy of the book for each one of my students to finish reading over summer break.

My Project

Reading is so important for any age group. Wether the student is reading independently, reading to someone, or being read too. Reading for at least 20 minutes every day is so important for all students. With school closing, libraries not open, many of my students have a limited access to books. I want my students to be able to finish the sequel to Poppy by Avi, which they loved so much. We started it before school closure and now we are unable to finish the story. I hope I can receive a copy for each one of my students to continue reading over summer break.
