This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are loving, bright, funny, and unique little children with old souls and I love it! They are also a chatty bunch! I’m currently a 2nd grade remote teacher. My students amaze me everyday, so young yet their ability to make the best out of their current learning situation is inspiring!
My Project
My students are all remote learners and although there are different online reading libraries and programs they engage with during independent reading, nothing compares to the feeling of holding a book in their hands! It’s magical and developmentally fundamental for growing readers to have books on hands.
I want to help my students continue their reading growth throughout the summer in a way they miss and enjoy so much!
I hope to achieve this goal by providing each one of them with their own summer reading book baggies. Book baggies full of wonderful books that will transport them to different places while they grow as amazing readers.
