This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like my English learners and new comers to practice and learn more about phonics during the summer break. I want them to continue practicing what they have learned during the year.

Phonic skills practice will allow an efficient development in the young mind of my kindergartners.

The students will benefit from the phonics book since they need more support at home during the summertime. They have learned the letters and sounds to decode CVC words during small group instruction. At home they will be able to practice on their own daily before they start first grade.
