My class is made up of 19 students who come from different cultural, economic, and social backgrounds. No matter their background, every student deserves to feel safe and loved at school, and I strive to make every student feel that way every day.
Head Start is a free preschool program serving families who come from a low socioeconomic background.
Every student is provided with a free breakfast, lunch, and snack. Head Start gets its funding from grants and donations and there is not much left to go towards classroom materials.
My Project
My class is in need of items to help complete summer learning bags. Every year Head Start puts together summer learning bags for the students to take home and continue to work on their skills while they are on summer break.
With the help of your donation, I will be able to purchase dry erase markers, dry erase pouches, markers, colored pencils, playdough, water bottles, and workbooks that I will be able to place these items in their summer bags.
These items will allow the students to continue learning before they head to school before they go off to kindergarten.
