This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a K-5 writing specialist, serving a title 1 school, I have found within my students a passion for expressing themselves through Writing.

Please help me to provide quality journals and pens to my amazing 5th grade poets, diary writers, fiction enthusiasts, columnists, researchers, list makers, and overall great authors!

My students deserve to have a special spot to express themselves, to create, and to continue on in their writing journey as they develop their craft. Writing helps our students to get creative, release emotion, explore language, develop ideas and put all of their skills to use while relaxing in the comfort of their home, car or anywhere they please! They have learned that writing can be pleasurable instead of a chore. I dare say, I have helped to instill a love of writing and I hope to leave an impact after they leave the hallways of Norton Park Elementary school, headed to middle school.
