My Project

Throughout the school year, one of my favorite parts of the day is when we gather together and read a novel. This year we have read two novels during our "cool down" time. Each of these novels has a sequel. I would love to surprise my class with the sequels to each novel. My goal is not only to get them excited about reading, but encourage that they continue to read over the summer.

Teachers often call the period of summer break, the "summer slump." Many students don't read or practice academic skills over the summer, creating a larger gap when they go back to school.

I would love your help to give my students literature to read over the summer.
