This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year teacher, I have had the honor of watching my fifth graders grow not only academically, but also personally. With summer around the corner, I want to make sure that my students have what they need to feel confident, clean, and cared for even when they are away from the classroom. Many of my students face challenges that go beyond schoolwork, and I have seen firsthand how access to basic hygiene supplies can make a huge difference in their confidence and overall well-being.

This project will provide each student with a personal hygiene kit, including essentials like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and other daily care items.

I want my students to head into summer with not only the tools they need to stay clean and healthy, but also the feeling that they are seen, supported, and valued.

Your support will help me close out my first year of teaching by giving my students something meaningful and practical, dignity through the gift of care. Thank you for helping me send them into summer ready to shine.
