Summer Food Boxes!

Help me give my students food to help their families get through the summer. This food will go to families that utilize the backpack program through the school year.

My Project

Approximately 40 students and their families at Northern Cambria School District receive food from the Cambria County Backpack Project throughout the year. Those families are in need not just through the school year, but all year long. Various groups in our school, including the National Honor Society and the National English Honor Society have done food drives to boost the food giveaway throughout the year.

As we near summer vacation, it is my goal to help these families throughout the summer as well.

With some of the food leftover and help from DonorsChoose, I will compile summer boxes to assist the children and families throughout the summer who are in need.

Boxes will be completed and ready for distribution during the last week of school,May 20-24.
