This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Summer should be a time for fun, creativity, and self-care—but for many of my students, access to basic hygiene products and engaging, screen-free activities can be limited once school is out. That’s why I’m creating Summer Essentials kits filled with items that support both well-being and imagination!
Each kit will include toothbrushes, toothpaste, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant—simple but essential items.
Alongside those, I want to provide screen-free fun like playing cards, sidewalk chalk, and watercolor sets to encourage creativity, outdoor play, and quality time away from devices.
By giving students these essentials, you’re helping them start the summer feeling refreshed and excited. Your support means they’ll have the tools to stay healthy, express themselves, and enjoy a summer filled with color, creativity, and confidence.
