Thanks to you, our classroom now has a dedicated space where students can practice self-regulation and build healthy coping skills. The sensory tools, coloring pages, and other resources have been invaluable in helping students navigate their emotions. When they feel overwhelmed or need a moment to reset, they now have a peaceful space to reflect, breathe, and return to their work with renewed focus and calm.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the calm-down corner, their excitement was contagious! They immediately wanted to explore the new materials and take turns using the space. It quickly became a regular part of our routine, and it's heartwarming to see how the students have embraced it. They now know that it's okay to step away for a moment when they're feeling big emotions, and this has helped create a more supportive and empathetic classroom environment.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are continuing to incorporate emotional regulation into our lessons, using the calm-down corner as a tool to help students engage in mindful activities that promote self-awareness. In our current project, we're focusing on building resilience and understanding emotions through stories and discussions.
