This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

RUFSD Summer Music is a 3-week program providing lessons to rising 4th-9th grade orchestra students culminating in a concert in August 2025. Students will receive lessons from their main teacher, with a high school or university student pursuing music education as a teacher assistant in the room helping students learn a new instrument or improve upon their techniques. Help me give my students snacks to get them through a hot summer day at music camp! Within the program there will be a mentor program established to connect beginner students with older students to foster a nurturing environment in which younger students can see what opportunities playing a string instrument can provide for them in the future.
