This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are inquisitive, creative thinkers who love to explore the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). They come to class eager to investigate, experiment, and solve real-world problems. However, we lack one key tool to help them fully immerse themselves in the role of a scientist: lab coats.
The lab coats I’m requesting will make a significant difference in their learning by enhancing their sense of professionalism and belonging in the STEM field.
Wearing lab coats will help my students feel like real scientists, boosting their confidence and encouraging them to approach experiments with focus and curiosity. Additionally, these coats will protect their clothing during hands-on activities, allowing them to dive into messy experiments without hesitation.
My goal for this project is to provide my students with an authentic and engaging STEM learning experience that fosters a lifelong love of science and problem-solving. With these lab coats, I aim to create a classroom environment where they can imagine themselves as future engineers, researchers, and innovators.
What makes my students special is their passion for discovery and their resilience in overcoming challenges. Many of them face obstacles outside the classroom, but they show up every day ready to explore, learn, and grow. These lab coats will remind them that they are capable of achieving greatness and inspire them to dream big in STEM fields.
Thank you for helping to make their scientific dreams a reality!
