Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember getting a new notebook in September and thinking it was the greatest thing in the world? Crisp new pages and a new folder that is your favorite color... now that was magic.
My children face many challenges in their daily life.
Gang violence, poverty are just some of them. I try to keep our classroom as a safe haven. Somewhere that they know they are safe.
At the beginning of the year while most parents are braving Staples and other stores, my parents are not able to do that. Some of my children come in with supplies that are used, the cheapest they could find- so they do not last or more commonly, none at all.
My Project
With these supplies you would be making a difference that will not only make September stress free, but will set them up for success.
I will keep these supplies and hand them out to those children who need it. With a sense of pride, they will start the school year off with a bang!
Without your generous donation my children will not have what they need to make a successful year.
They will be punished for something that is not their fault, and it WILL give them a boast of confidence they need.
