Help me give my students a choice to flexible seating. Tables raised to counter height will allow my students to stand or sit at stools to complete tasks.
I love the “Aha! Face” kids make when they learn something new or make a connection to something they already know. Big surprised eyes followed by a slightly smug smile of accomplishment!
Me: “I knew you would figure it out!”
My Project
After a year of distance learning with my Reading Intervention students, I realized how much students enjoy a choice in seating when it’s time to work. The trick is in providing seating that works- seating needs to facilitate task completion and not be a distraction. As students will be entering my reading room for the first time this fall, I want to be sure to provide some choices. Using counter height tables and stools will allow a student to comfortably stand or choose to take a seat to finish the task.
