Successful Printing

My students need toner in order to print and display their completed assignments.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Cefalu's classroom raised $396

My Students

My students are part of a restricted 12:1:1 setting due to their severe social/emotional disabilities and academic delays.

All of my students live in Brooklyn, NY with low-income families, in shelters, or with foster families.

My students' home lives are extremely difficult; they display very little trust toward their peers and adults. The abuse and neglect that these children have faced in their life is something no child, or human being, should be exposed to. These teens come to school because it is where they feel "at home." Our school is a warm environment that welcomes all students, regardless of disability.

My Project

My students need toner for our classroom printers. Having toner in our printers will make a dramatic difference in my students' learning and improve their academic achievement by allowing them to print their completed work. It is a constant struggle trying to find a working printer with ink in order to print something in our school. We are fortunate enough to have working printers in our classroom; however, we are unable to print without toner.

This project will benefit my students by providing them the opportunity to print and display their assignments.

Being able to print essays and other assignments will improve our classroom’s atmosphere. We will be able to display our printed assignments on our classroom’s bulletin board and walls, which ultimately will keep my students motivated to do well. Toner will also be beneficial because it will allow me to print copies of worksheets, print letters for parents, etc. Being able to print worksheets, letters, assignments, and examples for my students will make a huge difference in their education!
