Help me give my students digital resources from Teachers Pay Teachers, that will not only keep them engaged in their learning, but also ensure that their social emotional needs are being met.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing fifth graders that attend a title 1 school in Hawthorne, CA. My students have unique strengths, but one thing they have in common is a strong love of learning. Although they may not have a lot of resources to keep up with the ever changing world, they are always up for the challenge of learning something new.
My students need resources to help keep them engaged, and meet their social emotional needs.
In our classroom, my students are constantly working hard and eager to learn. We are always working in small groups at the carpet or at their desks, and this year it is going to look different.
I want to make the classroom, in person and virtual, the best environment possible where my students can express themselves creatively and be exposed to all sorts of learning experiences.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers is a site that has a multitude of resources for lessons. These resources are all created by teachers themselves.
With this gift card, I would be able to purchase bundles that focus on math, language arts, and social emotional learning.
During this time, students' social emotional wellbeing is of the utmost importance, and I want to be able to help my students navigate that and feel safe in this time of uncertainty. With distance learning, my classroom is going to look very different from how it usually does. The first weeks of school are focused on building relationships and getting to know one another. These resources, being offered digitally, will give me the opportunity to continue to do that.
