This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in our classroom have so much potential. They have started the year as sponges ready to soak up every bit of learning. They have so many questions and are eager to know more. They have different strengths and creative passions which I hope to nurture and expand.
It is my goal to ignite a spark in each of them this year in second grade.
We are in a low-income school in Arizona and many of my students struggle daily. It is my hope to be able to provide a welcoming environment where any barrier to learning it removed.
My Project
Students will use these materials to be successful in second grade. The privacy folders will allow students to focus. It will also give students the privacy they need to be successful. The timer will help with the new reading rotations. They will read aloud to a partner and use the timer to keep track of minutes read before switching. The timer will also give students the ability to stay on track while working. They will learn time management skills. This will decrease their stress levels when they can learn to budget their time. These materials will help our classroom run smoothly.
