Students are learning to ask for the calming corner when appropriate by expressing what is upsetting them. They've learned about different strategies to help regulate their emotions. These new texts introduce lessons such as understanding characters' motivations, identifying themes, making predictions, and using context clues to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words. Many of the books also support fluency and comprehension by offering engaging plots, rich vocabulary, and opportunities for students to connect what they read to their own lives.\r\nIn our classroom, reading is an active and joyful experience. Students read independently, in small groups, and together as a class. We pause to discuss ideas, ask questions, and make connections, and students often revisit favorite sections to deepen their understanding. The variety of new books has allowed me to better match texts to students' interests and reading levels, which has increased confidence and participation during reading time.\r\nSeveral students who were once hesitant readers are especially excited about these new books. I've seen students eagerly pick up a book without being prompted, talk enthusiastically about characters, and recommend titles to their classmates. For some, these books have sparked a new love of reading; for others, they've provided the right level of challenge and encouragement to keep going. The laminator has been especially helpful—I used it to create a durable visual schedule that supports my students throughout the day by giving them a consistent, easy-to-follow structure. This has reduced anxiety, improved transitions, and given students more confidence in what comes next. The magnetic board holders have also made our classroom more efficient, helping students access supplies independently and keeping our learning space tidy and functional.\r\nThe students are especially excited about the new compliment jar system I created with the laminator. They love being able to see the jar fill up as they earn compliments for good behavior and teamwork. Because of your generosity, the class has already earned two compliment parties, and their motivation to work together has grown tremendously. Even students who typically need extra encouragement have become more engaged because they can visually track their progress and celebrate their accomplishments.\r\nThe heavy-duty pencil sharpener has also made a noticeable difference—students can now prepare their materials quickly without frustration or interruptions during lessons.
