My Project
Secret Stories is a creative spin on teaching children the relationships between sounds and their spelling by using unique and funny stories that stick with them forever. It is a program that utilizes the science of reading to help students decode tricky words with the help of visuals, stories, and muscle memory. I will use the Secret Stories daily to help my students understand WHY letters make the sounds that they do.
Donors to this project should know that they will be giving students strategies to change their whole lives by learning to read!
It helps with not only their reading ability but also their writing. This program teaches kids to "unlock" the mystery behind all of the sound combinations so that they can become early readers and writers.
