This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a super cute class of diverse kindergarten students in a low income, Title I school. With lots of excess energy, these little darlings are always looking for ways to learn in fun, new ways.

Like most five-year-olds, their excitement for learning is contagious!

They inspire me every day to be a better teacher and find ways to provide the tools they need to succeed in their first formal school experience. I love to find new ways to capture their attention and capitalize on the excitement for learning they already have.

My Project

Having enough supplies to learn in class is important to make sure my students are always provided with opportunities to work with their hands on. A lot of times, when I go to the copy room to make copies, there is not enough supplies to provide the current activity for my students for the week. Having paper in my room will help me to always have copies and supplies for them. Having times and hooks will also allow me to have mini lessons with my students, and organization to help them be able to rotate around to designated groups.
