I am the English Language Arts teacher for our dual-language students in second through fifth grades. My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and have a passion for language learning.
Phonics instruction is an integral piece to my classroom instruction at each grade level.
In order to better differentiate for the varied levels of reading ability within the classes that I teach, I would like to add Orton Gillingham Decodable Readers as well as hand2mind Reading Rod manipulatives to my classroom. This will allow me to better meet the needs of all students, both through acceleration and remediation.
