My students are energetic and eager to learn. I teach in a very diverse school in a close-knit community. I have a very hard-working group of students from many different backgrounds. Our school’s students come from mostly lower-income households. I want to be able to give them all the tools they will need in order to have a successful and fun school year! I would also like to create an educational environment where students are challenged and held to high standards.
My Project
My inquisitive students have many materials for each subject in their tiny desks, so having a seat sack will give them the extra storage they need to stay clutter-free. Our school district requires many textbooks and workbooks for our students to use. They are also required to have several notebooks, folders, a pencil case, and math manipulatives, which takes up a lot of space. Their seat sacks will be a designated spot for materials used often in class. Having easy access to these materials will give them more time to learn and will teach them to be responsible and organized.
