My Project

I moved to a new school this year and need supplies for students to be successful in 1st grade. Each year we spend a couple days making Rekenreks (number racks) to aid students with addition and subtraction using pipe cleaners, beads and cardboard. These just do not hold up to daily use and are constantly being fixed. Wooden number racks would be a blessing by helping students with their math instead of spending time fixing them.

Students need access to books at their reading level to build confidence and be able to celebrate successes.

I am asking for a variety of books at reading levels that will benefit my students in class. We have adopted a writing curriculum that focuses on a book each unit. To have the physical book would be amazing! It would make it much easier to stop and discuss writing structure, picture emphasis, and character traits on the given page than trying to stop a video on YouTube at the correct time.

Basic supplies such as white board markers, pencil sharpener, erasers, and math games just make teaching easier when supplies are on hand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
