This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
High School Math Students in need of classroom supplies. My students could really use white board markers, glue sticks and white boards to help make learning more fun, engaging and a true hands on experience. An echo dot would allow us to keep track of time, set timers for activities, and play music during our activities. As a teacher I want to move away from traditional math lessons. I want to incorporate more active and engaging learning opportunities that make students feel they are enjoying class. Through the use of white board markers, glue sticks, we will be able to expand student engagement throughout each lesson. I wish to see all students increase their mastery and retention of Math concepts across all levels of Math Courses. Math class should be a daily opportunity to learn something new, increase our knowledge or simply increase our confidence in our ability to master new math skills. Please help me make this year a great learning experience for all my 227 students.
