Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first-year teacher and my students come from low-income households and attend a Title 1 school. Access to these materials will allow them to flourish in the classroom and achieve grade level standards!
The diversity of my students allows them to cultivate meaningful connections with one another and learn about the world around them!
They showcase so many different talents and capabilities. Being able to have supplies will allow them to show how smart they truly are!
My goals for this project are to provide my students with the supplies they need that they cannot afford to buy themselves. Not only is it my goal to make sure they each have a set of markers and headphones, but also a snack to eat each afternoon.
I feel so privileged to be able to teach such amazing students. They have such big hearts and are always generously sharing their supplies with one another. If I could give them the whole world, I would!! They make me proud each and every day.
