My Project

In sixth-grade social studies, students embark on a rich journey through time as they explore the beginnings of human history and the rise of ancient civilizations. Our curriculum is designed to build students’ understanding of geography, cultural development, government, economics, and the legacies of civilizations that continue to influence our world today.

Our Reinforced Social Studies Notebook: A Must-Have Tool!

To keep our learning organized and accessible, each student creates and maintains a reinforced social studies notebook. This invaluable tool serves as a personal record of all learning:

• Students paste in notes, diagrams, maps, and key vocabulary as we learn.

• Every activity, reflection, and graphic organizer is secured in one place.

• The notebook becomes a customized study guide for quizzes and unit tests.

• It supports better organization, deeper review, and pride in one’s work.

We refer to the notebook daily in class, and students use it throughout the year to track their learning journey. By the end of sixth grade, each student will have created a resource rich in content and memories—one that reflects their growth as historians.
