This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Although it's costly to replace the ink and buy blanks, we truly love our new sublimation printer! When we have the ink, paper, and sublimation blanks available, our makerspace comes alive with students making t-shirts, coffee mugs, water tumblers, earrings, nametags, magnets, and anything else you can imagine!
With the experience we can get making products in class, it's entirely possible that one or more of my students might decide to create their own Etsy shops in the near future!
Please join me to provide my students with the supplies they need to design and manufacture products that they could potentially sell in the future. With these materials, they will gain agency, experience with entrepreneurship, and creativity—while exploring concepts such as sweat equity, market research, profit margins, and much more!
