My Project
This year the fifth grade iPads came with cases that have mouse pads, but my students prefer to use the touchscreens and poke the screen with their finger. All year they have complained about wishing the styluses we have in the classroom work better. All the styluses we have are pens I have picked up at different events that have a rubber stylus at one end. Unfortunately these pens are not made for long term use by students that like to fidget ... and pull off the rubber to play with.
These styluses will allow this year's students (and possibly next year's students) to have a real stylus that is built to be able to write on the iPad with and not have to use their finger or try and use the cursor in the case.
Students will be able to drag items from one side of the screen to the other, play Prodigy (a math online website) and solve the math problems on the screen, and we will be able to start learning how to take notes on the iPads so they will be better prepared for this next year.
