This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For our ASB leadership class, we are looking to receive a Cricut Hat Press so we can make custom hats for our students. This would be used for student of the week, specialty program acknowledgements (AVID, IB, Cambridge, ValTech), as well as for ASB events including our special education sports events for our athletes, where they participate in outdoor competitions between other schools. Students will be in charge of ordering supplies, taking the time to heat press the hats, and delivering them to both students in a way that acknowledges and celebrates them. One example of this is creating hats that say "VHS Loves Me" for our student of the week, or "VHS Athletics" for our Athlete of the Week.

This tool will allow us to creatively celebrate and honor our students throughout the year by creating custom hats to show off their school pride.

This impacts our school culture by creating intentional ways to acknowledge those who are giving their all and representing what it means to be a "VHS Tiger".
