My Students
My students are amazing! They come to school happy to be here despite the obstacles they face at home. My students are culturally diverse. They come from a variety of backgrounds and are socioeconomically deprived. This doesn't hinder their loving spirit.
My students are motivated and willing to learn and I want to give them the best classroom possible.
Students in surrounding communities often have 21st century supplies and equipment and I want my students to have the same opportunities that their neighbors do so that their futures are just as bright.
My Project
Learning gets hard to do when you have a hard chair to sit in all day long. When my students are comfortable, then they make better choices, are more motivated, and are more engaged to their learning.
Alternative seating allows students to work in an environment that makes them more comfortable.
Students often struggle with math, and the stools will allow students to collaborate in partners, small groups, or to work in a place on their own. The stools will make it easier for those who need to sit or stand or do both at the same time as they struggle through their math.
I have seen positive outcomes with attitude, grades, and demeanor so with this new choice, I hope to see more growth.
