This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At the beginning of the school year, I was lucky enough to be provided with a new and bigger classroom because our population of English Language learners grew. I was happy and excited to decorate and have a space that would be welcoming. There was just one problem! It was empty and had no furniture. With the help of the custodial team and other teachers, I was able to gather whatever furniture was left over and ended up with rusty, mismatched- wobbly desks, and different sized chairs to start the year.
My students deserve furniture that isn't distracting, that is why I am asking for your help to get sturdy stools for my students!
I want my students to feel comfortable as they work together and independently. These stools would help create a better learning environment because they would eliminate distractions and fighting over who would get the "good" chair. Please help me improve my students engagement and comfort with this project. Thank you!
