Students soar when they collaborate with their peers. The ability to discuss and review concepts deepens their understanding of taught concepts, which in returns strengthens the whole class discussion. My students' growth of understanding depends on the ability to collaborate in a safe environment.
My hope and desire are that donors help me build a classroom inclusive to collaborated learning to benefit the success of my diverse students.

My Project
Students will benefit from sturdy new desks, as the old desks often are rocky and uneven from missing screws. My current classroom set are mismatched and don't allow for flat surfaces necessary for class projects. Often, students need to stop working to find or tighten screws, which inhibits the flow of learning. All students deserve a safe learning environment to meet the set expectations of a rigorous learning environment.
New desks will create a desired collaborative learning environment essential to support the learning needs of my diverse classroom.
Student learning growth shows greater success when students collaborate with peers of various strengths. Even flat surfaces are essential for projects to be successfully fulfilled.
