My students need STEM stations and books about STEM to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to discover and let their creativity thrive.
Our first grade classroom is alive with eager learners! These excited and eager early learners are ready to hone in on their reading skills and take on the challenge of becoming stronger readers as well as exploring the world around them through science and mathematics! There are 40 various languages spoken in the hallways of our school on a daily basis. It is located in an inner city of Philadelphia. In our first grade classroom, we have 5 various languages intermixed among our vibrant and eager to learn students. In our classroom, we value education and are ready for the journey to becoming thriving citizens. We love to explore the world around us through all subjects.
My Project
My first grade classroom is filled with future explorers, scientists, engineers, mathematicians, readers and leaders. They are very excited and interested in STEM, (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). Through the kits in this project, they will be able to build, create, solve and discover all with hands on materials. They will inquire about how things work and how to be a problem solver. The stories will provide guidance and inspire their creativity. These materials will allow collaboration, dialogue, creativity and imaginations to be fostered in the classroom amongst peers. These hands on materials, magnetic tiles, blocks, connectors will allow real life experiences.
