My Project
Studying sound is essential in High School Physics because it connects science to everyday life in powerful ways. Sound is all around us—from the music we enjoy and the conversations we have, to the alarms that keep us safe and the natural sounds that inform us about our environment. By studying sound, my students will gain a deeper understanding of how vibrations travel through different materials, how our ears and brain interpret these vibrations, and how technology uses sound in innovations like sonar, medical imaging, and communication systems. Ultimately, studying sound empowers students to better understand the world they live in—enhancing their critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and appreciation for both science and the arts.
