I teach at a Title I school in Oklahoma City, where 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch and breakfast. I am starting my fourth year of teaching because I love becoming a part of my students' success and I realize these students need someone passionate about teaching.
Our students come to school with a variety of hardships that we couldn't imagine.
However, I cannot allow them to use that as an excuse to fail. In my classroom, I turn those hardships into motivation to overcome whatever obstacles are in their way.
My Project
Right now we are asking children to get the majority of their learning online due to the times we are navigating. The biggest challenge is keeping the content fresh and interesting. A Study.com subscription will allow them access to exciting content to help support this unusual way we are asking them to learn this year.
This will help facilitate engaging lessons with all content curated by educators for educators.
Study.com helps students succeed in the classroom and at home and this would be an amazing tool for us to have while we are remote, virtual, hybrid, or in-person learning. By having a consistent online tool like Study.com, students will be able to watch videos about a topic they are learning about in class in an engaging way! This does not replace great teaching, but will enhance their education!
