This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have matured over the last two years and will enter their last year with me. I need to prepare them for high school expectations on writing and organizing their notes. My students are worried about the school supply list while parents are worried about paying rent on time. I want my students not to worry about school supplies. I want them to have all the basic school supplies they need for the Spring semester.
Since 8th will focus more on a Medical Lecture Hall, students will go back to lecture and note-taking, they need basic things to take notes and complete projects at home.
Please help me help my students start the school year on the right path by giving them all the tools they need to have a great school year. Let's take some of the worries of expenses away from parents and children. Let's just have them focus on the academic side, not the materials they will require.
We are a Title I, Performance Improvement school with 100% participation in the free lunch program. Many parents work two jobs and are struggling to support the family. Though their environment may not be conducive to learning, my students have an insatiable love of learning! I know that if we provide them with the right support, resources, and opportunities, they will become successful.
