I would like to teach the novel My Name is Not Easy to my 9th-grade language arts students. These students are also simultaneously taking Alaska Studies for their social studies class.

This novel is one of the best teaching tools for giving students a personal look into the realities of boarding schools in Alaska, and it will provide many opportunities for class discussions.

The novel tells the personal story of an Inupiaq student at a boarding school.

A novel set for My Name is Not Easy would be used every year for many years, benefiting hundreds of students. Thanks in advance for your support!
