To begin with, I love teaching all my students. They are bright, aspiring students that encourage me to try new things and teaching techniques every day. I am fairly young in my teaching career. This school has taught me so much in a little amount of time. I will forever cherish my time with these students.
We grow together so not only am I teaching them, I am learning as well.
My students span from the ages of 12-18, as well as a few 8 and 9-year-olds. The band is growing and we want to keep it that way even though the county is small and money is limited. Even with this, my students' love for learning and music is rich. I want to show them that music is more than just organized sounds in time. Music is what feelings sound like. Be expressive. I also have many students now interested in making and recording their own music. How wonderful is that! I also work with my students to develop their sounds and songs in a recording setting.
These materials are to further grow the studio in terms of technology and accessibly to updated equipment to utilize the previously donated materials. My students and I are grateful for the support of the last studio project. As you my know there is way more work to be done. The school where I work has agreed to offer a music production class after seeing what my studio kids are capable of. This next part of the project is to give them a better hardware. The computer used for student projects is my personal and a laptop with limited memory. Since the number of studio students has grown by 15 more memory and processing needs has as well please help.
